Step by Step Process to Verify Site in Pinterest
Step#1: Login and Upgrade to Business Account
To verify site in Pinterest, first, you need to login on your Pinterest account and upgrade your site to Free Business Account. To do that you have to click on the three dots menu which you will find in the top right corner of the page.
After clicking Upgrade Now Button, a pop-up window will open where you need to fill up your website details and pick business type as Professional or the one which best suits to your website. Next, click the continue button.
Step#2: Claim Website
After Upgrading to Business Account, again click three dot-menu at the top right corner of the screen and go to settings.
On the settings page, click Claim Website and submit your Blog URL to verify your site in Pinterest.
After submitting your Blog URL, click Claim Website.
A pop-up window will open, you have to select your Pick Claim option.
Clicking the HTML tag option will show the Domain Verification code which you will have to paste in the <head> section of your site. Click the Next Button.
Note: HTML tag option is much easier to integrate with the site. You can also choose the second option. If you chose the second option, then you will have to upload the downloaded file in your site’s root folder, which is generally Public_html or www by using any FTP Client like FileZilla or directly.
Step#3: Copy and Paste Code in your Site
In this step, you have to integrate your Pinterest site  Verification code to your Blog Header. There are several Plugins like Pinterest Verify or  Pinterest Site Verification plugin, which you can install to verify the Pinterest HTML tag.
But if you use the Yoast SEO Plugin or Jetpack Plugin, then you do not have to use a separate plugin to verify the site on Pinterest.
Pinterest Site Verification using Yoast SEO plugin
To verify your blog with Yoast SEO plugin, Go to SEO> Social, from your WordPress Dashboard, a new window will open.
Paste Pinterest Verification code and Save changes. That’s all.
Pinterest Site Verification using Jetpack plugin
If you already have Jetpack plugin installed in your WordPress site, then you can verify your site in Pinterest using Jetpack plugin.
Jetpack is a versatile WordPress plugin and you can fulfill your several requirements from this single plugin.
To verify site in Pinterest using Jetpack from WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Jetpack>setting>trafiic from your WordPress Dashboard.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will find the option Site Verification.
Paste your Pinterest site verification code and save the setting.
By following any of the above two processes, you can verify the site on Pinterest.
Pinterest site verification normally takes 24 hours and they will notify you by email once your site verified by Pinterest.
For confirmation, you can check your site ownership status on Pinterest from settings Claim Website section.
